A Letter from the Friends of The Milburn Library

Due to economic cutbacks at the Millburn Library, the Friends need your support more than ever.  Our funds provide the highly successful Children's Summer Reading Program, new acquisitions such as the electronic bulletin board, as well as Museum Night with lecturers from The Metropolitain Museum of Art and the Newark Museum.  The Fireside Book Club meets monthly to discuss current books, led by their authors or distinguished lecturers.  A special book and movie program will return again in the Spring.  Our popular Student Chess Classes begin in the Fall, with the annual Student Chess Tournament in December.

Our new programs will begin in October and will include a fun lecture by "The Clutter Lady" and a timely lecture on The U.S. Presidents.

With your help we will be able to continue to support the Library with new acquisitions, continue our popular programs and present new programs for your enjoyment.  Our annual two day Book Sale, held in April, accounts for approximately 20% of our funds.  We depend on you, our generous donors, to make up the rest.

Please take a donation form the next time that you're at the library and mail in a generous check.

Thank you for your past help and we look forward to your continuing support.
