Friends Mascot Contest Official Rules

How to Enter the Contest:

The contest begins on September 2, 2020. Submissions will be accepted through midnight September 27, 2020. Winners will be announced on our website, social media and by direct contact to the winners’ email accounts.



In order for your submission to be entered in the competition:

  1. Designs must be submitted in PNG or JPEG format to
  2. Include the artist’s name, address, age and email (for notification purposes only).



Our Judges will consider the following criteria for the winning design:

  1. Creativity: Let your imagination be your guide. We can’t wait to see what you create.
  2. On Target: Make sure the character relates to libraries and reading.
  3. Name: Give your mascot a catchy name that relates to the mascot’s image.


Terms and Conditions: By submitting a design, you are accepting the following terms and conditions:

  1. Competition entries must be original work and must not breach or violate any copyright or other rights of third parties. Copyrighted Images/Subjects trademarked products, packaging, brand names and advertisements cannot be used within the design. The Friends of Millburn Library will not be liable for any non-original work submitted.
  2. The winners will not receive any money, royalties or compensation of any kind from the Friends of the Millburn library for their mascot designs other than the prizes specified in this contest. 
  3. The Friends of the Millburn Library reservesthe exclusive right to use the winning design in print and electronic media.
  4. Entries by minors must have the written consent of a parent or legal guardian
  5. The Friends of Millburn Library reserves the right to subjectively evaluate all entries.
