Read to the Dog
 
Thursday, June 26 at 4:00 p.m.
 
Children practicing their reading skills can read aloud to our sweet therapy dog, Laila.  Ages 5 and up.  To register, ask a librarian or sign up online
 
Sunday Stories and Crafts
 
TIME: 2:00 PM
 
4-6 year olds are welcome to drop in Sunday afternoon
to listen to stories and create something to take home.
 
There must be a minimum of 3 age-appropriate children present to hold the class.  The class size is limietd to no more than 15 children. Please check in at the Children's Reference Desk immediately prior to the class. No pre-registration accepted.

Picture Book Fun!

July 2 - August 13
Wednesdays.  10:00 - 10:30 & 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.

 
Let's have some summer fun together!  You bring the kids, ages 2 and up, and we'll supply the books.  Join us for our 1/2-hour story time.  We need a minimum of 3 age-appropriate children.  Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
No registration required.  Meet in the Children's Room.
 
 
Toddler Fun Time
 
July 2 - August 13
Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
 
Stories, finger rhymes, songs, and a few surprises for toddlers 9-24 months.  Children must be accompanied by an adult for our 20 minute program.  A minimum of 3 age-appropriate children necessary for the session to take place.
 
No registration required.  Meet in the Children's Room. 
 

Weekday Story & Craft Time
 
July 10 - August 24
Thursdays from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.
 
Children (3-5 years old) and their caregivers are invited to the library to hear a story and make a simple craft.  A minimum of 3 age-appropriate children necessary for the session to take place.  Class size limited to 15. 
 
No registration required.  Meet in the Children's Room.
 

 

Important Story Time Information

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LIBRARY CARD WITH YOU IN ORDER TO BORROW LIBRARY BOOKS AT STORY TIME.
 
CHILDREN MUST REACH THE APPROPRIATE AGE BY THE FIRST CLASS.
 
Non-residents must purchase a Millburn Library card in order to participate in the program.
 
FOR THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF YOUR CHILD, IT IS THE LIBRARY POLICY THAT THE PARENT OR CAREGIVER MUST REMAIN IN THE BUILDING DURING ALL PROGRAMS.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN ASKING YOU TO WITHDRAW YOUR CHILD FROM THE PROGRAM.

 

 NO FOOD ALLOWED

 

Children who arrive more than 5 minutes after the program begins may not be allowed to participate.

 

 

Family Film Night

Join us for a family friendly film! You are welcome to bring a snack. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.  Register to save a seat!

Summer Crafts with Sara Kurtzman
July 1 - July 30
Register online or in-person.
 
Our 5-week program of summer crafts is for 2-1/2 - 5 year olds.  The non-refundable fee for this program is $45.00, payable by CHECK ONLY to the Millburn Public Library at the time of registration.  Online registrants have 3 days to pay the fee or the registration will be cancelled.
 
There will be no prorating for missed sessions.
 
New registrants must show proof of age withing three days of registration or the registration will be cancelled.
