Remember the Dewey Decimal system from school? No worries if you don’t— here’s the cheatsheet for job-related book shelves. Our Nonfiction shelves are on the second-floor.

  • 650.14: Career changes, cover letters, interviewing, job-hunting,  resumes, unemployment.

The NJ Business to Business Directory set is available in the library for reference as well.

NJ Division of Unemployment

In New Jersey’s official unemployment portal, you can file a claim, check your claim status, and certify for weekly benefits if you are unemployed through no fault of your own. First you will need to ensure that you qualify for such claims, if you haven’t already. Make sure you explore the portal and all relevant information, or check out the F.A.Q. on unemployment insurance.

  • Career Services: browse job openings, take free online skill courses (up to 5,000 SkillUp courses in the NJ training program, as well as the Workforce Learning Link, which provides adult learns with reading, math, financial literacy, job search & life skills), request 1-on-1 phone or email support, apprenticeship opportunities, and more.
  • One-Stop Career Service Centers: offering in-person appointments for job search support.
