Computer & Internet Policy

Public Computers

Grab a seat at one of our public computers. Patrons get 45-minute sessions, but can stay logged on longer if no one else is waiting. The Children’s Room has its own suite of PCs for little ones.

Details
Public computers can be used for one 45-minute session, if available. Computers will log off automatically at the expiration of the session, as well as 15-minutes prior to close. If no one is waiting, a patron can ask a staff member for more time or add more time themselves when the computer prompts them near the end of the session.

Borrow an iPad or Tablet

Didn’t bring a device, but want to curl up in a nook at the library? Borrow one of our iPads for in-library use, for up to 2 hours. The iPad Dock is by the Front Desk— just swipe your library card to unlock one. Our borrowable Amazon Fire Tablets can be borrowed for 2 weeks and taken home, at the Information Desk.

Wireless Printing

Print off a library computer, use our scanner, or make copies, in black & white or full color. You can even print remotely from any of your devices, here or from home.

How to Wirelessly Print

PC Software

All public computers are loaded with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint) as well as various Internet browsers. All personal information and files are deleted from the public computer when you log out of your session. Ask for our portable CD/DVD drive if you require one at the Information Desk.

Catalog Computers

Throughout the Library you’ll see standing computers, already logged in— feel free to browse the library catalog or look up a particular title on these, no reservation required. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, ask a staff member for help— we’ll help you find it.
