Interested in Millburn Library’s World Language Collection? Check out our special collections, located on the ground floor on the wall nearest the spiral staircase (behind the magazine shelf)— we have books in Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Ukrainian and more, plus easy-readers in English, and materials for ELL/TOEFL. And don’t forget about our movie & TV collections, which often have subtitles and/or dubs in multiple languages.
The Children’s Room also has its own world languages shelf located near the service desk, with all the languages above plus Korean, French, Italian.

Or, toggle to the Digital Catalog to search for eBooks, eAudiobooks & eMagazines. Just enter a title, author or general keyword to start.
To browse all available items in a certain language, just click the search button (or press ‘enter’) without entering a search term.
Check out our language-learning resources, all available right on your smart device (and free), courtesy of your Millburn Library card. Available is Mango Languages, a mobile app with full-length language courses. This include courses that teach English from many others languages (ESL) as well! Little learners also Kanopy Kids available, with unlimited access to language-learning episodes of Muzzy & Little Pim in various languages.
If you’re looking for resources in the Library, we have a collection of language-learning CDs, like the Pimsleur series. VOX books (audio-enabled readers) are available in the Children’s collection, to listen along as you read a story, and of course the huge collection of movies & TV shows available often come with subtitles and/or translation dubbing. Other helpful online resources include Duolingo, a totally free language app, and LingoDeer, a great app for learning Asian languages, especially, that has free introductory lessons.
